Performer

Aliayta is a violinist working across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. She regularly works with the London Symphony Orchestra and 12 Ensemble, and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Musikverein, Wigmore Hall and the Philharmonie de Paris. Aliayta has performed alongside Max Richter, Patti Smith, Patrick Watson, Martha Wainwright, La Force, Poppy Ajudah, and Kojey Radical, and has worked with Pathway to Paris, Live at Lost River and the BBC Proms.

In 2020, Aliayta worked with Pathway to Paris alongside Patti Smith, Olafur Eliasson, Joan Baez and Bill McKibben to deliver online events as part of World Environment Day and NYC Climate Week. As part of this work, she was asked by the ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability to perform for the Mayor of Bonn at Beethoven’s 250th celebrations. Following this, Aliayta was invited by Pathway to Paris and Patti Smith to perform in a new ‘People Have the Power’ video as part of a voting initiative during lockdown.

With the Echea Quartet (2017-2022), Aliayta held Chamber Music Fellowships at both the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, and was represented by City Music Foundation, Concordia Foundation, Musicians Company, Hattori Foundation and the Kirckman Concert Society. The quartet was aired on BBC, CBC and NPR, and won international prizes including the International Anton Rubinstein Competition (2017), the ‘Tremplin' at the Philharmonie de Paris's String Quartet Biennale (2020), and the Royal Overseas League (2021). With the Echea Quartet, Aliayta worked with György Kurtág, Marin Alsop, Harrison Birtwistle, Andrew Norman, Simon Rowland-Jones and Mathieu Herzog.
